One of the largest realtors in United Arab Emirates founded its company in the year 2012 and is a letting agent of sublets and rentals for individual, corporate, and commercial properties. It has over 300 agents employed in more than 11 offices across UAE and the services include property listings, mortgage services, property management (standard and premium packages), home maintenance (3 types of annual contracts), holiday homes (short-term rentals), sales progression, and recruitment services.

The Challenge
- The screening of tenants and landlords, including site visits, drawing or legal contracts were done manually and painstakingly. In the year 2022 it sought to leverage Power Platform, Microsoft’s Read OCR engine and Image Analysis to streamline onboarding of tenants and landlords, virtual tours of properties and generation of legally compliant contract documents.
- The realtor contemplated expanding its exclusive services to most of the Gulf countries including Philippines but faced challenges as it had to hire people in different geographic areas for site inspections, screening and verification of tenants and landlords and getting legal lease, rental or sale deeds signed on paper. This was the challenge when it wanted to diversify its operations.
The Solution
- We decided to opt for a complete overhaul of his business through digital transformation specifically with Power Platform and other compatible high-end tools and services offered by MS Azure Cloud platform.
- Simple forms with accompanying verification document uploads made the screening process of both tenants and landlords simpler. While the core solution was developed on PowerApps, Dataverse and SharePoint, it also leveraged OCR capabilities to extract required information from documents and using basic OpenAI APIs presented them to the realtor for instant review and approval. Existing agents involved in procuring signed documents and review were retrained to assist in this process using Power App and its feature rich tools.

- The site is now bilingual, and users can switch to Arabic and English and directly connect to WhatsApp based knowledge base, online and real time chats with back-office assistants in private secure rooms to clarify their doubts or get their queries addressed in minutes.
- It has real estate law compliant lease and sale templates that can be digitally signed, and the entire transaction completed in no time.
- AML/ CFT integration, 3DS & PCI compliance for payments, customer/ landlord verification through Know your customer (KYC) online service integrations have together made this into a trusted and much sought after platform for many customers.
